A photography project for young adults

Jugendprojekt "Picturing Berlin – Reporting my City II" gefördert durch das BAMF

In our project Picturing Berlin – Reporting my City young adults who grew up or fled to Berlin explore their city through the camera lens. Accompanied by photographers and pedagogues they visit institutions and organisations in their neighborhood as well as photography exhibitions. They develop their own Storytelling, they learn techniques of Street, Portrait and Documentary Photography and become aware of the post production of photos. The young participants present their photo stories about Anonymity in Berlin in a public event in Prinzessinnengarten Kreuzberg.

Closing Event: Saturday, 21 September 2019, 8 pm
With Petros Kolotouros (VJ), An Dirella / Electro Tunes Ninja (DJ) and the participants of the project.

Free Admission!

In 2019 Picturing Berlin is looked after by Susann Tischendorf and Schmoo Theune. The participants from 2017 and 2018 take part as mentors.

Participation: No previous photographic experience is required; cameras and materials will be provided. The workshops are free of charge!
